Bell's Healthcare Chesty & Mucus Cough Guaifenesin 100 mg /5 ml Oral Solution is taken to relieve chesty coughs.

Liguid for oral use. Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years of age: Take 5 to 10ml every two orthree hours. Not more than 4 doses should be given in any 24 hours. Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to. Do not take with any other cough medicines. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Please wipe bottle neck after use. Stop use and ask
a healthcare professional if your cough lasts for more than 5 days, comes back, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.
Active ingredient: Guaifenesin 100 mg/5 ml.
Other ingredients: Glucose, methylhydroxybenzoate E218, citric acid E330, sodium citrate E331, sodium saccharin E954, carmoisine red E122, caramel EISOc, cherry flavour, ethanol and purified water.

Do not use:
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

- If you have an intolerance to some sugars.
Contains 4.4g of glucose per 10mi dose.
This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus. This medicinal product contains 2.4 vol% ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 191 mg per 10ml dose, eguivalent to 4.9ml of beer or 2 m I of wine per 10ml dose. Harmful forthose suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease, or epilepsy.
Guaifenesin may increase the rate of absorption of paracetamol.
Contains: El 22 – may cause allergic reactions.
Contains E218 – may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
If you get any of these serious side effects, stop taking the medicine. See a doctor at once:
- Difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat (severe allergic reactions).
These other effects are less serious. If they bother you talk to a pharmacist:
