1. what puncto ginkgo max strength is and what it is used for
This product is a traditional herbal medicinal product containing Ginkgo biloba leaf extract. Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength Oral Drops are used to relieve the symptoms of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and Raynaud's syndrome, based on traditional use only.
Raynaud’s syndrome can cause symptoms such as cold hands and feet, or pain, tingling, numbness and your skin turning white in the fingers or toes. These symptoms are caused by interruptions in the blood supply to these areas.

Do not take Puncto Ginkgo Max
Strength
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Ginkgo products or any of the ingredients in your medicine (see section 6: Further information).
- If you are under 18 years of age
- If you have epilepsy or are taking medicines for epilepsy.
- If you are taking efavirenz, a medicine used in the treatment of HIV.
Special care with Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength
If your symptoms worsen or persist after taking this product for 2 weeks, you should consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner.
Tell your doctor before taking this medicine if:

- You have been told by your doctor that you have a bleeding disorder. This means you may bleed for longer than is normal.
- You are due to have an operation in the next 14 days.
- you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars because this medicine contains dehydrated glucose syrup.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes any medicines which you have bought without a prescription. This is because Ginkgo may affect the way some medicines work.
Do not take this medicine before talking to your doctor if:

– You are taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines used to thin your blood and reduce the risk of getting a blood clot e.g. warfarin, phenprocoumon, acenocoumarol, phenindione, apixaban, edoxaban, dabigatran, rivaroxaban, dalteparin, enoxaparin, tinzaparin, heparin or clopidogrel,
- You are taking a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac)
- – You are taking nifedipine used to treat high blood pressure, Raynaud's syndrome and prevent angina chest pain..
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

5. how to store puncto ginkgo max strength
Keep out of the reach and the sight of children.
Do not use the tablets after the expiry date on the carton and the blister strip. The expiry date is the last day of that month.
Do not store above 30°C. Store in the original package.
Medicines should not be thrown away in waste water or in household waste. Please ask your pharmacist how to throw away any medicine you do not need anymore. If you do this you will help protect the environment.

What Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength contains
The active ingredient in each tablet is: 120 mg of extract (as dry extract) from Ginkgo biloba L. leaf (35–67:1). Extraction solvent: Acetone 60% v/v.
The other ingredients are:
Extract excipient: dehydrated glucose syrup. Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, cellulose (microcrystalline), maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, silica (colloidal anhydrous), magnesium stearate. Tablet coat: hypromellose, polysorbate 80, talc, iron oxide yellow (E172) and titanium dioxide (E171). Each tablet contains 360 mg of lactose monohydrate and 6 mg dehydrated glucose syrup.

Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength is an oblong, convex, yellow coated tablet.
Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength comes in blister packs of 30, 60, 120 or 200 tablets. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.

How much Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength to take
Remember to take this medicine with a glass of water. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not chewed.

For oral use only. Take one tablet twice daily. Do not take more than the leaflet tells you to..
If you take more Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength than you should
If you accidentally take too much and feel ill, consult your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.
If you forget to take Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength
Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Take the next dose at the usual time. It does not matter if you have missed a dose.

4. possible side effects
Like all medicines, Puncto Ginkgo Max Strength can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The frequency of the following is not known.
If you get the following effects, seek medical help immediately:
- sudden difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of your lips, tongue, throat, skin or body or you feel faint.
These effects have occurred after the use of Ginkgo extracts. However it is not known if they were caused by Ginkgo.
Other possible side effects include

– digestive symptoms such as feeling or being sick or diarrhoea

– headache, dizziness

– skin reactions (such as itching or rash). These effects should not last long. If they persist or become troublesome, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
