  • 1. What is Dubam Cream and why is it used?

Dubam Cream is an analgesic cream that is applied to the skin. It can be used to treat pains associated with muscle stiffness, lumbago, sciatica, fibrositis, sprains and chilblains. The active ingredients exert a rubefacient (warming) action on the skin that blocks pain in the underlying tissues.

  • 2. What should I know before using Dubam Cream?

    When shouldn’t I use Dubam Cream?

    Do not use Dubam Cream if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in section 6 of this leaflet.

Do not apply to broken or inflamed skin.

What should I do if I accidentally swallow Dubam Cream?

If you do feel unwell after swallowing Dubam Cream then seek medical advice. You should, if possible, take the medicine and this leaflet with you provided it doesn’t cause a delay.

Can I use Dubam Cream if I am pregnant or breast-feeding?

Do not use Dubam Cream if you are pregnant or breast-feeding without first consulting your doctor.

Is it safe to drive or operate machinery after using Dubam Cream?

This product is safe to use prior to driving or operating machinery.

  • 3. How do I use Dubam Cream?

    Adults and children aged 6 years and older:

    Apply with gentle massage 2 or 3 times daily to the affected areas, avoiding broken or inflamed skin. Wash hands after use.

Do not apply near to the eyes, nose, mouth, anal and urinary areas. Do not cover the treated areas with dressings that prevent the free passage of air and/or water. Do not expose the treated areas to excessive amounts of sunlight (e.g. sufficient direct sunlight to cause light tanning).

Dubam Cream is not suitable for children under six years of age.

Discontinue use if a rash occurs in or near the treated area.

  • 4. Does Dubam Cream have any side effects?

All medicines can cause side effects. Although not common the following side effect has been reported to the ingredients of Dubam Cream:

£ The skin may become more sensitive to strong light.

£ Some individuals may find the warming uncomfortably fierce.

£ On rare occasions if a large amount of Dubam Cream is applied it may cause effects elsewhere in the body, such as asthma.

  • 5. How do I store Dubam Cream?

Do not use after the expiry date marked on the pack. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children, preferably in a locked cupboard.

Store between 4°C and 25°C.

    What is in Dubam Cream?

    The active ingredients are methyl salicylate 20%, levomenthol 2%, cineole 1%. In addition Dubam Cream also contains the following non-active ingredients: emulsifying wax, liquid paraffin, polysorbate 80 and water.
