# Patient Info

> Patient Info is a patient information portal for medicines — it aggregates patient information leaflets (PIL), summaries of product characteristics (SPC), an index of active substances and ATC classification groups for medicinal products. The content is intended for patients, carers and healthcare professionals seeking orientation among available medicines.

The site is not an online pharmacy and does not sell medicines. Information on the site does not replace consultation with a doctor or pharmacist. Patient leaflets and SPC documents originate from public sources (official medicines registries); only the original PDF version is legally binding.

The portal is available in 11 language versions on separate domains (see the *Related projects* section).
